Work set to begin on new Aylesbury bridge.

THE skyline above Aylesbury is set for change as work begins on an a new pedestrian and cycle bridge linking Ayesbury town centre and Southcourt.

Work begins on January 21 to construct the new bridge which willreplace the existing bridge but will extend as far as Thame Road in the west and Friarage Road in the east, unlocking a number of cycle routes and providing a fully integrated route from the South into the town centre.

This is the fourth and final stage of the Aylesbury Public Transport Hub scheme which also includes the construction of Station Boulevard; a new short tree lined link road rising up from Station Way to Great Western Street, connecting …
